The City is governed by the Mayor-Alderman form of government whose officials are:

• Mayor - Joe C. Wise, Jr.
• Aldermen/women – Roy Baxley, William Crossley, Ken Bragg, Stephanie Smith, Lee Henson, and Carlton Cummings
• Recorder-Treasurer – M. Lynn Camp
• Legal Advisor – Ed Koon

The Council meets on a monthly basis the first Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm at City Hall, 106 West Bell Street.
